First Grade Studies the States

The first grade theme for the month of May was the United States. Each child was assigned a state that was of significance for him/her. The first graders did a written report which had several interesting facts about their state. They also made a project which depicted something about their state. They had fun singing "The Fifty Nifty United States" song, which they learned in Music class. The children had a great time learning about the United States of America!
