Welcome to the St. Theresa School Library. Students in Kindergarten through Sixth grade have Library class weekly. Junior High students use the library as needed. All students are welcome to use the library during recess, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Kindergartners do not check out books during their Library class. First graders check out books during their Library class, but do not bring the books home. Students in Second through Eighth grade may take books home.
Parents may check out books for Kindergartners or First graders at the beginning of the school day, or immediately after school. Books checked out by parents may be taken home.
Parents are welcome to check out books for their own use from our Parent Education section, or from our general collection.
Books are checked out for one week, and may be renewed as necessary if there is no waiting list. Short books with a waiting list may be checked out for one week only.
During Library classes students will be introduced to a variety of library skills as well as have the opportunity to check out books.
Parent volunteers assist with Kindergarten through Fourth grade classes. Library maintenance volunteers cover and lable new books, and help to keep the library collection ordered.
Students in all grades may complete a book review of any book we have in the library. Students receive a book mark for every book reviewed turned in directly to the librarian. When students have completed five or ten book reviews they may choose from a variety of larger prizes.
