Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!I hope everyone had a wonderful, safe Christmas.
We're back in the swing of things here...
~In 4th grade we're exploring the biomes one day at a time. A biome is an ecosystem that covers large areas of Earth's land.
Earth's biomes include~
*Desert
*Tundra
*Grassland
*Taiga
*Tropical Rainforest
*Deciduous forest
We're also looking at Earth's freshwater and saltwater ecosystems.
~5th grade is floating along. We're becoming more aware of water around us...what we use it for, where find it, how we get it. Do you know where your water comes from?
Check out www.water-ed.org/watersources
~6th grade is exploring the oceans. Salinity and temperature are are important factors of our oceans. Because of them we have currents that help regulate our climates. Individually 6th graders are researching what has helped us advance our ocean exploration and discover the features of the ocean floors.
