St. Theresa School Oakland, California

Technology at St. Theresa is driven by the individual curriculum of each teacher and grade. There are Technology Standards that were designed by the Oakland Diocese, and teachers work with me to integrate as much technology into their curricula as is appropriate.

Students come into the Multimedia Lab with their classroom teachers to work on projects, do research, and at times play a little (everyone needs a little bit of recreation).

There are also laptops available for teachers to use in their classrooms at the Middle School and upper elementary levels (4th and 5th grade). These are used regularly to supplement Lab time.

My background is in media and multimedia, and I hope to integrate more of it into the school a little bit at a time. We have wonderful resources here at St. Theresa, and I feel strongly that students should learn to use as much as possible as one way of showing their thankfulness for the many blessings they have here.

We have a gifted, creative and dedicated staff, and I believe that we are only scratching the surface of our potential. Look for many exciting new products and projects in the months and years to come!
