Buyout for families is now $30 per shift. That means if you don't want to perform your required number of shifts, you would pay this amount per shift to the Parents Club.

The automated email reminder program is being programmed for the 2009-10 school year. This is a computer program that will will automatically send out emails to remind you of your signed up parking times. If you receive an email that is not for your scheduled time slot, please let us know by responding to the email, or emailing this website's webmasters at the email address at the bottom of this page.
Current Reminders

We no longer have a Parent at the top of the incline on Mandalay. Please do not go there to complete a parking shift. In the afternoon, we are asking two parents to man the crosswalk and one parent to watch the “walkers” by working the Clarewood Gate

Please do not talk on your cell phones while driving or working in the St. Theresa Parking Lot.

Slow down – please remember to slow down while in the parking lot and driving along Mandalay.

Please do not bring other children with you during your parking lot shift. We need all of your attention on keeping our kids safe. Stay Focused.
Procedures

AM parents need to be at their station no later than 7:55 and stay until 8:15. Please try to sign in, yourself, BEFORE your shift begins. The AM stations are:

a. Middle Crosswalk

b. Crosswalk to the left of Drop-Off Lane and
-
c. Top of Drop Off Lane on the left (across from handicap parking).

PM parents need to arrive at their station no later than 3:05 and stay until 3:25. Again please try to sign in, yourself, BEFORE your shift begins. For 12:30 dismissals, please be at your station from 12:20 until 12:40. The PM stations are:

a. Middle Crosswalk

b. Crosswalk to the left of Drop-Off Lane

c. Clarewood Gate

When you arrive for your shift (7:50 for am, 3:00 for pm), please initial your slot in the Parking Binder BEFORE your shift begins. The Parking Binder is located at the Red Counter (school front desk). If signing in before your shift is not possible, please sign in afterwards or any time before the end of the month. The Parking Binder serves as the only record that you filled your shift: without your signature we can only assume you missed your shift. Please choose among your other shift members to observe:

upper/lower cross walk spots (am & pm)

drop-off lane spot (am only)

Clarewood gate (pm only).

If your schedule changes, please find a replacement. BEFORE the scheduled date, both parties then need to email the parking lot scheduler and verify that this arrangement has been made so the records can be updated.

If your schedule changes and you cannot fulfill your obligation, your FIRST responsibility is to find a replacement to trade with you. If this is not possible, please contact your class parking lot coordinator and request a paid substitute. They will work with the Parking Committee Chairperson on providing a substitute. You will be invoiced $25.00 for your slot that will now be manned by a paid substitute.
Record Keeping & Volunteer Hours

The Parking Binder, located at the Red Counter will be the official record used for billing. Billing is completed at the end of the month and if you, or your replacement, have not initialed your slot you will be invoiced as we have no other way of knowing that the shift was manned. No Exceptions.

The parking coordinator for your grade will, as a courtesy, send home a shift reminder in the Wednesday Envelope before the start of your class month and may give you a reminder email or phone call. However, this is a courtesy and ultimate responsibility for filling your shift rests with the parent.

If there are any issues with your scheduled slot, please contact your class parking coordinator to schedule a make-up or to report a trade that you’ve arranged. They will work with the Parking Lot Committee Chairperson to make sure the slot is filled either by the parent or a paid substitute.

As the school year progresses, and there are fewer slots left to make up, the likelihood of being billed $25.00 for a missed slot increases. Please be aware that this may happen if you forget to fulfill your assigned parking lot obligation in the latter part of the school year.
Rules to Live By
Be Careful @ Pick up & Drop Off.
All drivers are encouraged to enter via Clarewood entrance whenever possible. If you can’t or don’t want to drop off, please walk by the field fence or between car isles instead of in the traffic lanes to get across the cross walk or when returning to your cars, especially when the lot is full.
Be a good role model.
Be respectful and courteous. Parking is a collaborative job for the safety of us all and the 6th, 7th and 8th graders work this job more often than we do.
Please park in the outlined parking places.
Often many of us have gotten used to slipping into an unmarked space (with the JUST FOR A MINUTE or I'M LATE excuse) IT'S NOT OK and it is not providing our kids with a good example.
This is particularly true of the area in front of the STEP stairs to the Hall and at the end of the parking isles. These are not safe places to park.
If you are driving along Mandalay Road...
Please pay attention to the sign the volunteer at the crest of the hill is showing your way and try not to be in a rush. That volunteer may be aware of something you cannot see.
The Clarewood Gate Closes at 9:15 am and 3:25 pm on school days.
